James M. North, MD, is a well-versed pain management specialist and anesthesiologist who diagnoses and treats patients at Carolinas Pain Institute in Winston-Salem, NC, which he joined in 2005. Carolinas Pain Institute is a premier center for the treatment of acute, cancer, and chronic pain. Furthermore, Dr. North is the Medical Director for the Center for Clinical Research at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, where he serves as primary investigator on dozens of pain research studies. In addition to being affiliated with Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, Dr. North is an Assistant Professor at Wake Forest University, where he trains anesthesia residents and pain medicine fellows.
